Hologic gets FDA OK for 3D mammography system

Hologic has received FDA approval for its new 3D breast cancer screening system, which used to be called the Selenia Dimensions System. The device, which uses tomosynthesis technology and secured European certification last summer, is the first of such products that can produce 3D images.
