Florida's $1.3B commuter rail project advances

Sitework has started for Florida's $1.3 billion SunRail commuter train project, while a $168.1 million design-build contract has been awarded to a joint venture between Florida-based Archer Western Contractors and New York-based RailWorks Track Systems for its first phase. The cost of the second phase of construction and the bid dates for the $233.6 million operations-and-maintenance contract are still to be determined.
