Long-term maintenance improvements require company-wide effort

The key to successful total productive maintenance is making it a fundamental part of your company's culture, says Joe Ghislain, a manager for Ford Motor's powertrain and chassis group. "It’s really better if it’s the whole organization and not any one person or one team who handles TPM. When you can see sustainable improvements, that’s an indication that your TPM is successful," Ghislain says.
