Marketing emphasis shifts, but lead-gen remains king

Though it declined slightly as a priority in 2011, lead-generation remained the clear emphasis of business-to-business marketing, with 74% of marketers saying it was their top goal, according to a MarketingSherpa study. Increasing lead volume, creating perceived value, engaging in lead generation across multiple platforms, and creating good PR all increased slightly in priority from 2010 to 2011.
