School-based program is effective in reducing asthma symptoms

The School-Based Asthma Therapy program, which calls for daily administration of asthma medications to urban children with the condition, effectively reduced asthma symptoms, according to a study in the journal Pediatrics. Researchers noted that the program yielded a net savings of $3,240.
