Caregiver discrimination is gaining more legal attention

Workplace discrimination based on family and caregiver responsibility has become a bigger issue for the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission, which has released guidance and best practices for employers to follow to avoid problems. Poll data from the Center for WorkLife Law at the University of California Hastings College of the Law found more than 35% of workers have elder-care responsibilities.
