Study: Transcendental Meditation releases worker stress

Practicing 20 minutes of Transcendental Meditation twice a day for four months helped teachers and support staff at a school for children with behavior problems feel less stressed, a study by Maharishi University's Institute for Natural Medicine and Prevention found. Some meditation can be done at a desk, allowing a worker to release stress and focus on the present, says Janice Marturano, founder and director of the Institute for Mindful Leadership.
