Michigan tutors must illustrate effectiveness

Michigan has decided to revamp the state's tutoring program for under-performing schools, including requiring tutoring companies to prove their effectiveness. The State Board of Education approved the changes on Tuesday, citing problems with the current program and the fact that few eligible students have been receiving the tutoring.
