NCLB Commission: Track teachers, students via scores

The Commission on No Child Left Behind released recommendations on Tuesday that said schools and their teachers should be judged on students' test scores, among other things. The commission also recommended tracking individual student progress year-to-year, but a teachers' union official argued that there are no reliable assessments available to link student achievement with teacher performance.
