Darden CEO: Acquisition will help us meet targets

Executives at Darden Restaurants are confident in the company's decision six months ago to spend $1.4 billion to purchase the company that owned LongHorn Steakhouse and Capital Grille restaurants. Despite the economic slowdown, Darden CEO Clarence Otis told analysts Tuesday that the newly purchased brands would allow the company to meet financial targets over time.
