N.C. faces massive shortfall for bridge replacement

North Carolina's Department of Transportation says that about a quarter of the state's bridges are structurally deficient, but the budget for replacing those spans is about $65 billion short of what's needed. "We just can't meet our current needs with our current revenue," says DOT bridge engineer Amanda Glynn.
