Proposal for alcohol sales in Colo. groceries fails

A Colorado legislative committee on Wednesday voted 5-1 against a bill that would have opened up sales of full-strength beer and wine in groceries. Meanwhile, another bill that would allow liquor stores to open on Sundays passed its first hurdle and will advance to the Senate Finance Committee for further deliberation.
