Texas legislators take up housing for people with disabilities

Texas lawmakers called for compromise as they attempted to resolve numerous problems concerning the state's care for people with disabilities. Advocates want more state funds to go toward community-based group homes, which have a waiting list of more than 100,000, but others say residential facilities -- under investigation for alleged abuse and neglect -- still should play a role.
