Credit unions fill lending gaps left by banks

With financing from banks still difficult to secure, credit unions are growing to fill a widening need. For example, Mid-Atlantic Financial Partners, primarily owned and funded by the Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union, has been making loans to businesses that were rejected by banks.
