Restaurants are expected to market aggressively on mobile

Restaurant efforts to lure diners via mobile marketing are set to pick up this year, according to a report from Packaged Facts. The key element is mobile check-in services such as Foursquare, which are not only winning consumer acceptance but also growing more sophisticated. Meanwhile, social sites such as Facebook help restaurants spur loyalty. Restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings, The Cheesecake Factory and Chick-fil-A have each signed up at least 1,500 friends per restaurant unit.
