S.D. may not be hit by catastrophic flooding this summer, experts say

South Dakota may not experience a repeat of 2011's catastrophic flooding this summer as snowpack in Montana this year is not at the level it was last year, according to experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service. The state nonetheless must prepare for the possibility of Missouri River flooding, officials say.
