Some trees in Sacramento, Calif., are producing flowers ahead of spring, with horticulturists crediting a warm winter. This could hurt fruit production if rain or hail damages whole flowers and prevent bees from pollinating them, according to bee expert Eric Mussen of the University of California Davis.
