Zynga increases its mobile-game base to 15M daily active users

Zynga has increased the number of active daily users for its mobile games to 15 million, up from 10 million last fall, CEO Mark Pincus told financial analysts. Mobile gaming may help the company reduce its dependence on Facebook to attract users. Meanwhile, Zynga now has 80% of its daily users on its own Z Cloud servers, whereas it hosted 80% of its users on Amazon's cloud platform a year ago, according to Allan Leinwand, the company's chief technology officer of infrastructure engineering.
