Airbus has reversed course on its plans for lithium-ion batteries aboard its A350 aircraft. The European aircraft manufacturer no longer plans to use such batteries, and will switch to nickel-cadmium batteries. "Airbus considers this to be the most appropriate way forward in the interest of program execution and A350 XWB reliability," spokeswoman MaryAnne Greczyn said.
