Houston City Council approves Hobby airport expansion for Southwest

The Houston City Council has approved a use-and-lease agreement for 25 years with Southwest Airlines. The agreement will allow the carrier to add international service from William P. Hobby Airport. Southwest plans to begin service to the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico and South America by 2016.
