India's wholesale inflation eases below 7%

India's wholesale price inflation fell to 6.62% last month, its lowest rate and the first reading below 7% in more than three years. The rate may clear the way for the central bank to continue incremental rate cuts amid signs of a slowing economy. Separately, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram predicted 5.5% economic growth for the current fiscal year and an acceleration to 6% next year.
