Fla. students put career skills to the test in competition

About 300 Florida students learning automotive service, marine mechanics, cosmetology and culinary arts participated in the recent SkillsUSA Region 4 competition. The event for career and technical education students included mock interviews, extemporaneous speaking and other competitions. "It's beneficial in so many ways. It helps you know the skills that are helpful in any career that you might want to go into," said student Stephanie Perry, who won the job interview event.
