Former FINRA exec will head SEC trading division, sources say

Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Jo White reportedly has chosen Stephen Luparello as the new director of the SEC's Trading and Markets Division. In the post, Luparello will oversee exchanges, brokerages and clearing firms. He previously served as vice chairman of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and now is a partner in the Washington office of law firm WilmerHale.
