Microsoft reaches cybersecurity deal

Microsoft has agreed to work with payments-technology vendor FIS and two international agencies, Europol and the Organization of American States, in an alliance to reduce cyberthreats through forensic and technological analysis of botnets and malware. "These agreements will help the private and public sectors fight cybercrime more effectively, while protecting our customers' privacy," Microsoft general counsel Brad Smith said.
