OSHA's silica proposal largely opposed by trade groups

Industry groups and businesses are largely opposed to the silica rule proposed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Many of the public comments on the rule say OSHA failed to provide enough evidence for it and was not able to show the rule is feasible or practical. OSHA also "failed to research or analyze the impact and value of this proposal on the hardest-hit industries," the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said.
