Farmers Back Country-Of-Origin Labeling

California's fruit and vegetable farmers say they support a provision that would require produce to bear labels identifying its country of origin. The labels could help consumers make informed choices and also could persuade them to purchase more U.S. products, farm groups say. But food industry experts say the provision could spark trade wars and foster poor treatment of exported U.S. produce.
