Farmers Back Country-Of-Origin Labeling

California's fruit and vegetable farmers say they support a provision that would require labels to identify a produce's country of origin. Farm groups say the labels can help consumers make informed choices, and could also persuade them to purchase more U.S. products. But food industry experts say the provision could create trade wars and would be expensive to manage. The Food Marketing Institute's John Motley says, "We have all of the responsibility and the liability, and I don't think we should."
