For J.C. Penney, real store to mimic virtual experience

Retail takes a step into the unknown with the opening next month of J.C. Penney Co.'s high-concept, temporary bricks-and-mortar version of an online store at One Times Square in New York. The 15,000-square-foot store will duplicate the online experience by having consumers make purchases via interactive kiosks.
