Critical thinking, 21st-century skills taught through chess

A second-grade teacher in Ohio is teaching her students critical thinking, math and reading skills through chess lessons. They are participating in the First Move chess program, sponsored by America's Foundation for Chess, and educators say the lessons not only build students' self-esteem but also teach 21st-century skills.
