Ad agencies join federal effort to address childhood obesity

A presidential task force on childhood obesity is expected to include some ad agency chiefs, as well as the secretaries of the Interior, Agriculture, Health and Human Services and Education departments, and the director of the Office of Management and Budget. Agencies are pleased to be collaborating with Michelle Obama, who is helping lead the initiative, said Dick O'Brien, executive vice president and director of government relations for the 4A's. "She really can bring an enormous moral force to solve this global epidemic," he said. "We have volunteered to work with her as a communications industry."
