Deep freeze slows chemical traffic in Eastern U.S.

Heavy snowfall on the East Coast has disrupted chemical shipments, prevented polyvinyl chloride installations and halved rail car and truck distribution of ethylene glycol. The effects on demand and prices, however, cannot not be fully assessed because more bad weather is expected.
