Wichita takes care to avoid becoming the next Detroit

Wichita, Kan., may look to Detroit for lessons on how to avoid falling victim to foreign competition for aircraft manufacturing. Wichita is currently the Air Capital of the World, but it faces competition from Embraer in Brazil and other manufacturers. Cessna and Hawker Beechcraft have both shifted some parts manufacturing to Mexico, and Bombardier also opened a plant in Mexico.
