Studies find a person's genes can account for as much as 63% of their willingness to participate in a risky activity, such as gambling or making less-secure investment choices. Genetically inclined risk-takers in the business world may see opportunities where others see only danger, because the genetic makeup of the latter group "creates blinders to visualizing the opportunities," Scott Shane writes.
