49ers' stadium plan scores touchdown with Calif. city council

Work is scheduled to begin in July on a $1 billion stadium for the San Francisco 49ers after the Santa Clara City Council approved an $878 million contract for the project. Turner-Devcon will be hired by the city to build the 68,500-seat arena. The stadium is scheduled to be ready for the 2014 football season.
