Hannahville Indian Community ties wellness to insurance costs

The Hannahville Indian Community in Michigan has tied participation in wellness activities to health insurance deductibles for employees of its casino, school district and tribal government in an effort to control health care cost increases. The tribe's wellness program is points-based, and employees earn points through physical activity and preventive care.
