Insurer, business wellness plans make healthy impact

Insurers Aetna and Blue Cross and Blue Shield are focused on fitness and disease prevention, offering plans that include employee incentives for exercise and using advertising to influence healthy choices. Some companies also offer their own wellness incentives, such as gym membership discounts or nutrition advice. Jeff Levi of the Trust for America's Health said company wellness and prevention programs are a "win-win way to make a real difference" in health and a company's bottom line.
