Senate Republicans unveil new Keystone XL bill

A bill unveiled by Senate Republicans would block the Obama administration from tapping the country's crude reserves unless TransCanada secures approval for its Keystone XL pipeline. "It's as if this administration had never heard of the economics of supply and demand, unless it becomes politically expedient to release from our strategic reserves to influence gas prices when there is a looming election," said Sen. David Vitter, R-La., one of the bill's sponsors.
