Sequans sees less demand for WiMAX chips this year

With demand increasing for chips supporting Long-Term Evolution wireless communications, there will be a corresponding decrease in demand for WiMAX chips in 2012, predicts Sequans Communications. The company plans to continue supplying WiMAX chips in 2012 as it rolls out its first LTE chips, hoping to gain market share among a dwindling number of WiMAX chip suppliers.
