Southwest increases most round-trip airfares by $10

Southwest Airlines raised airfares on the majority of its flights by $10 per round trip Wednesday. "We have increased fares to cover operating costs, including the high price of jet fuel," said Ashley Dillon, a Southwest spokeswoman. The fare increase does not apply to trips under 500 miles or flights from Denver.
