Study: Lynch syndrome raises risk of many cancers

The genetic disorder Lynch syndrome significantly raises the risk of colorectal, gastric, pancreatic and other cancers, according to a study from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Family members who did not carry the mutated gene did not have the increased risks, the study said.
