U.S. outranks other countries in health IT use

The U.S. tops other countries including the U.K., Australia and Canada in the adoption and utilization of health IT by doctors, according to research by consulting group Accenture. The study also found the U.S. excels in health information exchange capabilities such as e-prescribing and e-referrals.
