Marriott revives development plans for Colo. Gaylord hotel

Marriott International has entered into talks to develop the $824 million conference hotel project in Aurora Colo., that former Gaylord Entertainment dropped last year, city officials said. "Aurora and Marriott are working together to find a way forward," said Wendy Mitchell, president and CEO of the Aurora Economic Development Council. According to city officials, Marriott has said it intends to go forward with the original plan of a 1,500-room hotel and conference center and is seeking a development partner for the project.
