Google art explores death, memory

An unusual entry in an unusual contest -- in which artists compete to design their own funeral urns -- uses Google's link popularity hierarchy to measure and adjust for the importance of its creator, digital artist David Sullivan. Sullivan's "Ego Machine" is a virtual urn that spiders the Web looking for references to the artist and sets those URLs to crawl below age-morphing photos of Sullivan.
