Frist: Extension of cut in capital gains and dividends taxes "non-negotiable"

Senate majority leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., writes in the Washington Times that capital gains and dividends taxes are "among the worst provisions" of the tax code, and they should be reduced and eventually eliminated. "The bottom line is simple: I will not bring before the Senate any tax measure that does not extend them," Frist says of the reductions enacted in 2003.
