Former owner buys Adams Childrenswear

John Shannon, a Northern Ireland businessman, has bought Adams Childrenswear, which has about 120 locations still open around the UK and Ireland. The retailer went into administration at the end of 2008, and since then almost 150 stores have closed. This is the second time Shannon has acquired Adams out of administration.
