Moody's says it might downgrade Ireland's sovereign debt

As sovereign-debt markets worry about a possible default on Ireland's national debt, credit-rating agency Moody's followed Standard & Poor's in warning that it might lower the rating on Ireland's national debt. Last week, the cost of hedging against a default on Ireland's debt tripled to an all-time high of 355 basis points.
