N.J. residency program helps single moms become nurses

Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center's nursing school in Plainfield, N.J., offers a communal residency program for single mothers studying to become a nurse, to allow families to help each other out with cooking and babysitting. The program's dean, Judith Mathews, juggled work and school as a single mother, so she knew the challenges these women faced and what they needed to succeed.
