NTSB: Ice suspected in possible stall of Flight 3407

Voice and data recorders recovered from Flight 3407 show that the plane was operating normally until just 26 seconds before it crashed near Buffalo, N.Y., on Feb. 12. NTSB investigator Steve Chealander said the flight crew noted "significant" ice buildup on the Q400 commuter aircraft shortly before the plane's instruments warned of an impending stall. "Everything that should have been done was done, so we keep looking," Chealander said of the pilots' efforts. "We keep looking, trying to find out why this happened."
