Florida homeowners near airport receive sound-proofing grants

Several homeowners who live near the Boca Raton Airport in Boca Raton, Fla., received federal soundproofing grants for their homes. The grants averaged around $85,000 and paid for impact glass, steel doors and soundproof insulation. However, the $4.64 million in funding for the program ran out midway through 2009, according to airport officials.
