HHS panel may ease meaningful use rules for providers

Members of a work group under HHS' Health IT Policy Committee are proposing to reduce the number of meaningful use measures that hospitals and physicians must meet to qualify for federal incentives. The work group plans to present its proposal at a committee meeting scheduled today, said Dr. Paul Tang, the work group's co-chairman.
